stupid transportation

Today, being Tuesday, is the day of my art class, but I didn't go. Why? C-van. C-van is the name para-transit in my area. Para-transit is like the short bus for public transportation. I have no idea how para-transit works in other areas, but here the service is door-to-door. The little bus kind a works like a taxi -- you call and make an appointment for a pick-up and return...and they stick you into their schedule...the problem is c-van can be about as accommodating and reliable as Paris Hilton becoming a chaste nun. You see where I am going with this? Actually, I canalled before they didn't show up (which has happened before). No, instead they gave me crappy times. I told them I needed to be at my art class by 1pm (it starts at 1:30, but I rather be early than late, and I've needed that half hour before...I got there once at 2 pm...grrr...) So, the best time they could give me for pick up? 11am! The earliest they usually pick me up is noon! Not only was my pick up time so early, my return was late. I asked for a 3:30 return. What time did I get?4:30! Not to mention the 15 minute window, which can mean they are can show up up to 30 minutes later! I am still a bit weak from the flu. It's gone, though. I wouldn't dream of exposing anyone to this.) I don't need to be gone that long. And I really didn't want to cry today. (C-van has a long history of making me cry.) So, I cancelled. And everyone thinks I can rely on c-van to take me to a job? Are they kidding? Their has to be a better alternative because c-van sucks! But no one seems to think there is. Sometimes I want to scream.
