NanoWriMo

I have done National Novel Writing Month (or Nano, as I like to call it.) for the last two years now. Nano is every November. Participants are challenged to write 50,000 words in the form of a novel. Everyone who hits the word count by Nov. 30th is proclaimed a "winner." I won in 2005 and lost last year. I was only 5,000 words short though...so, I have almost two badly written novels that need so much editing I can't bring myself to look at them. (I also have another first draft of a novel I didn't write Nano style, so it could be a bit better.) I haven't decided if I am going to participate this year or not. It's fun, but harrying...and I really need to spend more time on this blog to get it off the ground. (Writing about genital warts is only expanding it a little bit. Next up is writing about Ryan Seacrest. He's a hot keyword for searches on Yahoo! today. Why? I don't know. I mean, all he does is work and flirt with Simon Cowell on American Idol, which isn't even on right now.) Anyway, I digress. The Nano people are looking for interns: http://www.nanowrimo.org/images/nanowrimo/nano_07_interns.pdf Yep, it's unpaid, but it looks promising to have a better presence and influence online and it's for a good cause. What do you think?
