Rats!!! Foiled again!
Who in the heck would/could take an unpaid internship in the Bay Area?
At least, she was nice.
Sarah,
I am sorry, but we require our interns to come in 8 -12 hours per week
to our office. I am very sorry if that is unclear on the application.
Good luck in your internship search. If you are ever in the Bay Area,
come on by.
Warm regards,
Tavia

Not to point out the obvious, but it is reasonable to expect that an internship would be on-site unless otherwise stated (even for a place that runs online projects like NanoWrimo). The website shows their contact address as being in Oakland. I'm a lifelong PWD, powerchair user who's had a few internships and jobs and am close to finding the one(s) that are just right for me. So it can be done. I'd recommend looking into alternatives to paratransit as a first step. Ad if you've tried that already, try again.

It didn't state it was off-site, but it was inferred you could be...they wanted help running off-site events, or so the internship ad said.
