Body temp
I've been wasting so much time this week. I can't believe it's almost Friday, and I really have nothing to show for it.
I still haven't put my web counter or technorati button back on my page like I was supposed to.
And I haven't updated my blog either.
And all the sudden, it's freezing outside! Fall is my favorite season by far. I love the cool, crisp weather, and the leaves changing, and Halloween, etc. I love the in-between seasons because they don't seem as harsh.
But this week has been harsh. I'm either way hot or way cold. I cannot regulate my body temperature for nothing
I've woken up freezing every night.
So, I put on more blankets and I'm hot ten minutes later.
Any suggestions?

Ah, the hot/cold/hot/cold nightly game... I know it all too well. A couple things have worked for me: 1) instead of piling on the covers to keep warm, I wear long-sleeved pj's with pj pants and socks. The super-thin thermal kind are great; they keep the heat close to my body, but don't interfere significantly with transferring and such. 2) I picked up a room heater for each of my rooms. I'm not sure what the official name is, but they're made out of ceramic (or somesuch) and give off radiant heat instead of blowing hot air. They don't have the safety issues of the old kind of heaters, and, in my experience, don't seem to dry out the air (and my skin/mouth/sinuses) as much, either. 3) Not sure what your nighttime mobility and/or help situation is, but popping one of these babies in the microwave and then putting it on my belly is just about the best feeling in the world when I'm cold. Since it's moist heat, you don't have to be as careful as you do with heating pads. Plus, it helps hold in your natural body heat long after the radiation has cooled off.

I love my down comforter because it is lightweight yet warm enough. I may wake and toss it aside when too warm which is almost never even in the summer. When I went for the sleep study with pj's and all, I was so cold even my legs felt cold. I had to rub my feet against my legs to warm them up. I asked for more blankets but the technician said there were no more. Old ladies are always cold and ones with poor circulation are even colder. sometimes I do sweat at night and that wakes me and I toss the comforter off my upper body and go right back to sleep.
