seat belt
So, yesterday I rode the infamous c-van.
I went to see my job person. We found a bunch of jobs I need to find the energy to apply for. I just don't want to do it. Monday. I'll make myself do it. I am just sick of filling out job applications and getting back a big fat no.
And I am tired of stressing over job transportation.
Actually, my ride on c-van there was uneventful. My favorite driver got me. We went through a maze of apartments to pick iup another lady. And we chatted. And he showed me this cool glasses cleaner you buy at costco and they give unlimited re-fills. Way cool.
The ride home was interesting. I could have gotten so majorly hurt, it scares me.
You see, all my pants were dirty. Everything except my slippery pants. I think they're rayon or something. I hate them, but they are manageable. (I used to have a pair of ski pants that always made me fly out of my chair. Once, my roommates pulled me outside my apartment while I was wearing those pants on the ramp. I went out before the ramp -- it was embarrassing!) Anyways, my rayon pants are slippery, but not like my ski pants were. I just have to be careful.
Obiously, I wasn't careful enough.
My bus actually was there to pick me up on time. I got in the van. My driver strapped me in -- strapped my chair to the floor and belted me in.
We took a ride and picked up another girl in a wheelchair. I got out my ipod. I deemed this time to zone out. I was tired. I could feel myself sliding, but I pushed myself back up. I do it all the time without thinking.
We dropped the girl off at the bus transit center..and she HIT my chair on her way out. I know cause I heard a crack through the haze of my ipod music I can't find any damage on my chair, but it made me mad. Grr.
So, it was finally my turn. I turned my attention back to my ipod, barely paying attention to the scenery. The driver went the back way to my house -- the one where the right turn kinda comes up on you if you aren't expecting it. Well, I think the turn came up faster than he was expecting -- he turned too fast -- and of course, I slid, but the seat belt didn't catch and I went flying. My glasses bent as they hit the back of the seat. I was dazed, shaken and I COULDN'T see!
Somehow he got me back in my chair.
And I opt home.
I wasn't hurt luckily. A trip to wal-art fixed my glasses. Thank you, flexon!
But the seat belt didn't work. I am still disturbed.
